App Support

The app "Emergency Standards" was removed from the App Store.

Content

The app "Emergency Standards" provides access to 70% of the University Hospital of Basel's emergency algorithms. With the App you gain access to over 450 more slides as compared to when signed in as a guest through the browser. Ideally, your hospital purchases a license so that you have access to all slides.

Note: The app requires an Internet connection and does not provide an offline function.

Operating the App under a hospital license

Most hospital-licensees may operate the App under the hospital license without taking special measures (provided your device is connected to the hospital WLAN).

Prerequisites

The app "Emergency Standards" is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and requires iOS 8.0 or later editions.

Registration with the medStandards server

With the first activation of the App, your personal App identifier code is sent to our server and stored in our database. This key serves as your entry code to the Emergency Standards and is automatically checked every time you start a new session.

Tip: When opening an external link to websites and references Safari opens a new window/tab. To prevent the accumulation of numerous open windows/tabs, touch the window list icon or the tab x-icon and close the window/tab before returning back to the App.

Algorithms updates

The App is always connected to the medStandards server, so the displayed algorithms are always up to date with the newest version. We regularly update the existing algorithms and add new algorithms which are automatically enabled for the App.
Unfortunately we cannot offer offline data.

Tip: Use the app with WLAN if possible. The exchange of data over the mobile network can be costly depending on your mobile provider.
